  • ⁉ Did COP29 Azerbaijan Count? There's been a lot of talk about how COP29 Azerbaijan ended with a $300 billion deal. But is it enough? The real impact of #COP29 aren't just in the agreements signed by world leaders—it's in the conversations, the collaborations, and the commitments made by people and companies from around the world. Public and private sectors alike have shown their dedication to making a tangible, measurable impact. But the question remains: ⁉ How do we make this count beyond the headlines? 🔑 Key Takeaways: 🟢 The $300 billion climate deal is a significant milestone, but it's just the beginning. To truly bridge the gap, we need private sector engagement and innovative solutions. 🟢 The private and business sectors hold the key to expanding the reach of these commitments. Companies and individuals who want to make a tangible, heart-driven impact are essential for progress. 🟢 COP29 was a powerful reminder that meaningful change comes from those who see beyond deals and negotiations—those who are committed to action and impact. At EMIF, we believe in the power of collaboration to move solutions forward. We focus on making infrastructure projects in emerging markets both bankable and impactful, ensuring that this $300 billion in committed capital, along with all the others we spoke to, are ready to lead real change where it matters most. 🙌 Let's work together to ensure that COP29 wasn't just a moment—it was a movement towards lasting change. 👇👇 What are your thoughts or comments about COP29? Was it enough? Leave your comments below. If you're ready to be part of the solution, reach out today. • 💲 The Trillion-Dollar Question at COP29 Azerbaijan: Why Collaboration Is Key We are coming to the end of COP29 Azerbaijan and the conversations around financial commitments raises critical questions about global climate action. Here's why it’s important—and why coming together is the only way forward: 👉 Urgency: Climate change impacts are accelerating, disproportionately affecting vulnerable communities. 👉 Financing the Future: Trillions are needed to fund adaptation, resilience, and green transitions—but where will it come from? 👉 Accountability: Debates over financial commitments highlight the gap between promises and delivery. ⁉ Why the World Must Unite ✔ Tackling climate change requires collaboration across sectors, borders, and industries. ✔ No single entity can solve this; private capital, governments, and development banks must work together. ✔ Shared solutions create shared benefits: a more resilient planet and stronger economies for all.  🌎 How We’re Part of the Solution At EMIF, we catalyze impactful projects that bridge public and private financing, focusing on sustainable outcomes. By de-risking investments and fostering partnerships, we help ensure that the funds reach the communities and initiatives that need them most. 📣 This is not just a challenge—it's a call to action. Together, we can drive the transformation needed to secure a sustainable future. Let’s not let this moment pass us by. #COP29 #ClimateAction #SustainableFinance #ImpactInvestment #Resilience #Collaboration #EMIF

  • 🌎 COP29 Azerbaijan, the call to "Peace, Relief, and Recovery" starts today. The Challenge ▶ Climate change exacerbates resource scarcity, which can lead to conflicts. By addressing climate challenges, we work towards reducing tensions and promoting peace. ▶ Climate-induced disasters necessitate strong relief and recovery mechanisms. Integrating climate resilience into these efforts ensures that communities can rebuild sustainably and withstand future shocks. Call to Action Starts Now ✔ Unlock Private Capital for High-Impact Projects: Develop blended finance structures that combine public and private investments to de-risk projects, making them attractive to institutional investors. This approach ensures that critical climate projects receive the funding needed to scale impact. ✔ Support Climate Adaptation for Vulnerable Communities:  Prioritize funding for infrastructure and initiatives that bolster resilience in regions most affected by climate change. From early-warning systems to water resource management, targeted investments can significantly reduce risks for communities on the front lines. ✔ Foster Regional Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing:  Facilitate partnerships across sectors and borders to share best practices and pool resources. Collaborative platforms that bring governments, investors, and local stakeholders together can drive impactful, scalable solutions. By collectively advancing sustainable projects and climate action today, we are not only building resilience but also safeguarding the stability and sustainability of our world for generations to come.  ❓ What is your call to action for peace? • COP29 Azerbaijan began with a message of commitment and impact to set the tone. ✔ The Multilateral Development Banks have pledged to increase climate financing to $120 billion annually by 2030. ✔ 60% increase from last year. ✔ The message is clear. Capital is available to fund the SDG gap.  ✔ We have the capital. Now we need to put it to work. 🔼 Increased commitment is a huge win for everyone, but capital needs investable projects to flow effectively. Every panel here in #Baku is acknowledging the lack of bankable projects is the problem. EMIF was created to catalyze a pipeline of investable projects, bridging the gap between available capital and the development needed to reach our #SDGgoals. ✔ By investing in projects from ideation to financial close, we ensure that committed capital gets deployed where it matters most. Now it's time for us all to go to work, and this is what EMIF Group is doing. Our focus at #COP29: ✔ Collaborating to bridge the finance gap for climate adaptation. ✔ Creating pathways for sustainable, impactful urban projects. ✔ Ensuring that the 60% increase in commitments is matched by innovative solutions to scale its impact. At EMIF, we are committed to ensuring that this capital is not only deployed but makes a lasting impact on the long term sustainability of communities, their people and the environment. 🙌 Let's work together to build a future that is both resilient and sustainable. • As COP29 Azerbaijan unfolds, we’re focused on one of the most urgent issues: bridging the finance gap for climate resilience and sustainable adaptation. Collaboration and innovative financing are essential to connect available capital with critical climate adaptation needs. Here’s what we’re seeing: 🌐 Despite significant global capital, much of it remains untapped due to a lack of bankable projects, especially in emerging markets. 💲 About 70% of critical infrastructure for sustainable development is at the subnational level, yet it often misses out on major funding. 🌐 Public-private partnerships are key to de-risking projects and helping them reach financial close, creating lasting impact in underserved regions. It’s essential to support early-stage projects with affordable funding and oversight to make them viable and impactful. With more than enough capital committed, we must catalyze pipelines of investible projects to ensure it is deployed to achieve our goals. As global conversations continue, we’re more certain that EMIF Group’s unique approach will drive impactful investments for a climate-resilient future. Let’s keep the momentum going at #COP29—bridging the gaps needed to create lasting change. ❓❓ What are you thoughts on how we can bridge financial the gap? #impactinvestment #sustainbleinfrastructure #emergingmarkets #COP29 #climateaction #SDG #globalgoals

🌍Introducing our Feasibility Fund Prospectus – a key to unlock sustainable urban development!      In the face of urban infrastructure financing challenges and the weak institutional and technical capacity of #cities to prepare projects, CIF steps up to bridge the gap.    Our prospectus aligns with UN-Habitat (United Nations Human Settlements Programme) second domain of change, “Enhanced shared prosperity in cities and regions.”     UN-Habitat (United Nations Human Settlements Programme) estimates that every $1 million invested in CIF’s #feasibilityfund for early-stage preparation will unlock additional investment of $2 million for late-stage project preparation in turn unlocking $30 million+ in construction #financing.     👉Dive into this prospectus for an in-depth insight of how CIF catalyses change by attracting private capital to drive #sustainablegrowth: https://lnkd.in/dYdR2zGp Michal Mlynár erfan ali Erastus Njuki Dyfed Aubrey Mark Gallagher Donah Kathure Elkin Velásquez Rania Hedeya Bruno Dercon Graham Alabaster OUMAR SYLLA Bernhard Barth Paulius Kulikauskas Edlam Yemeru EMIF Group Reall Think City South Pole Gensler Smart Cities Network
