Canada’s energy industry unemployment rate declined 0.6 percentage points to 3.5% in November 2024. Compared to November 2023, energy industry employment was up 9.1% (+17,700). Alberta energy employment decreased by 2.5% (-3,700) from October 2024. Compared to November 2023, Alberta employment has increased by 12.1% (+15,800).
