Breaking News | ⛵ Louis Duc, Skipper de Fives Group - Lantana termine son premier Vendée Globe ! Après 91 jours en mer, Louis Duc est de retour aux Sables-d’Olonne ! Parmi les quinze skippers débutants de cette édition 2024-2025, Louis s'est démarqué par sa détermination et sa bonne humeur. Avec le soutien des collaborateurs de Fives, il a surmonté les défis de cette course autour du monde en solitaire et termine à la 26ème place. Retour sur les grands temps forts de sa course : ▪️1ère phase : la descente très stratégique de l’Atlantique Louis rejoint Jean Le Cam en pole position des IMOCA à dérives. ▪️2e phase : la plongée vers le sud, au cœur des dépressions australes Au cap Leeuwen, Jean Le Cam mis à part, il retrouve la tête de flotte des Imoca à dérives. ▪️3e phase : L’océan Pacifique, trop pacifique : Très peu de vent, Louis qui a déchiré des voiles de petit temps en début de course, ne peut lutter à armes égales. Au Cap Horn : il réussit cependant à revenir sur la tête de flotte des bateaux à dérives , moment magique. ▪️4e phase : la remontée de l’Atlantique. Louis n’a plus que la moitié de ses voiles, ses camarades de tête de course s’envolent. Mais il bataillera jusqu’à l’arrivée pour grapiller le moindre mille. 🆕 Appointment | We are delighted to announce the appointment of Gilles E. as Managing Director of Fives Cryomec, our subsidiary in Allschwil, Switzerland. In this role, he will notably be in charge of the operational management of Fives Cryomec. Gilles will lead the development of Fives’ cryogenic pumps’ activity on its various markets from industrial and natural gases to hydrogen, marine and carbon capture. Before joining the Fives group, Gilles was the Head of Operations at Sulzer for the pumps division and particularly parts and retrofit. He has around 20 years of experience in project and in team management in the energy sector.
