2024 started with a bang that demanded a pivot. I was diagnosed with breast cancer and started chemotherapy in January. Instead of focusing on my burgeoning business, I turned my whole focus to my health--biweekly chemo treatments from January to May, multiple surgeries in June, and targeted infusions every three weeks. My life this year has been so far from what I'd planned, and yet I've felt safe and confident in my treatment. Princess Margaret and Women's College are literally saving my life. I'm getting stronger now. I am gaining strength post-op and recovering from my chemo symptoms. More than anything else, I want to give back to help ensure that others experience similar feelings of safety and confidence in their care. So, I've decided to join the 2024 Princess Margaret Walk to Conquer Cancer to fundraise for lifesaving cancer research. The 22nd annual walk on Saturday, September 7, is a 21 km walk that has raised over $190 million since its inception. If you are able, please sponsor my walk. Together, we can help make a difference for others on their cancer treatment journeys. Japji Bas - Walk to Conquer Cancer 2024
