Social well-being supported by a vibrant economy and sustained by a healthy environment

About us

The Fraser Basin Council (FBC) is a non-profit charitable society that brings people together to advance sustainability solutions and practices in British Columbia. Established in 1997, the Council is a collaboration of four orders of government (Federal, Provincial, Local and First Nations) and those from the private sector and civil society. FBC works within the Fraser Basin and throughout BC to focus on climate change action, healthy watersheds and water resources and sustainable, resilient communities. Our work includes advancing flood management, air quality improvement, green transportation, healthy watersheds and youth-driven sustainability projects.
