"Vortex Temporum is cast in three movements, separated by brief, noisy interludes, which Grisey partially included to stop audience coughing." . . This excerpt is part of a longer piece of writing on Gérard Grisey and 𝘝𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘦𝘹 𝘛𝘦𝘮𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘶𝘮, that we commissioned from composer and musicologist Nathan Friedman. Writing about music, about artists, performers, and more, is an indescribably important part of any healthy arts ecosystem. Over the course of future seasons, we hope to commission more pieces of writing by our performers, composer collaborators, scholars, and sound workers that will contribute to our concerts and add to the arts community in this city. If you'd like to read the larger article that Nathan wrote for us, come to one of the concerts! This Thursday June 20 and Friday June 21 at 8PM at Arraymusic! The link is in our bio!

A few weeks back, our ED/AD Paolo Griffin gave an interview to Whole Note Magazine on Freesound, the work we've been doing and our upcoming Morton Feldman concert (featuring Amahl Arulanandam & Wesley Shen). It was delightful to receive some attention about the work we've been doing and how we want to continue bringing excellent contemporary music to Toronto.
