🌟 Extraordinary news to start the year! Nebiyou Timotewos, TELUS student bursary recipient and youth member of our Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area Community Board, was recently awarded the Diana Award - the most prestigious accolade a young person can receive for humanitarian work, established in memory of Princess Diana. After escaping the civil war in Yemen, Nebiyou and his family immigrated to Canada. He realized at a young age that he couldn’t change his past, but he can use his experience and passion for giving back to change the future. From founding impactful initiatives like Brothers4Brothers and Communities Care, Nebiyou embodies the power of change. His journey from war displacement to living in a shelter with his family when they first arrived in Canada to inspiring 10,000+ people through his "Kindness Tour" proves that there truly is power in kindness.
