We wanted Xano to be the best 'No-Code' Backend on the market. But in our journey of talking to hundreds of organizations, we found that the words 'No-Code/Low-Code' carry significant baggage, often evoking images of limited functionality, inflexible platforms, and solutions that fall short of enterprise-grade expectations. Furthermore, the term 'no-code' often implies that no developer is involved, which is a recipe for disaster. As technology evolves with AI and tools become more sophisticated, so should our terminology and, more importantly, our thinking around this transformative approach to software creation. Xano, along with a few modern no-code and low-code platforms, is capable of far more than the 'No-Code' label suggests, and we're coalescing around a new term to reflect this evolution.
