Thanks to our esteemed speaker, Punit Solanki, for helping our participants gain insight into and have hands-on experience with Google Gemini Pro, learn about few-shot prompting, and get started with Vertex AI Gemini API on the Google Cloud Platform and much more. Our Google I/O Extended event, organized in collaboration with #Centennial College, was a resounding success. We thank Professor Mayy Habayeb, PMP and Associate Dean Dr. Predrag Pesikan, P.Eng. for their invaluable support. A heartfelt shoutout to all the dedicated volunteers. We also thank the speakers for generously sharing their time and expertise with us. Michael Huang's keynote speech was both light-hearted and profound. He detailed his journey from Account Executive to spearheading startups at #Google. His tales of triumph over obstacles and doubt struck a chord, emphasizing the significance of resilience and unwavering pursuit of dreams. Henry Cho-Han Wu's presentation on Gemini at the Google Cloud event was enlightening. As a Customer Engineer, he showcased advanced AI tools such as Google Cloud Video Intelligence and AutoML, demonstrating their transformative influence on data management and decision-making across various sectors. He emphasized the potential of AI in improving operational efficiency and fostering innovation. Punit Solanki's interactive workshop on deploying scalable applications with Gemini Pro and Streamlit on Cloud Run was a hands-on learning opportunity. Participants gained practical insights into Kubernetes and acquired multi-cloud management skills, enriching their ability to handle complex cloud environments effectively. Luis Rodriguez Vargas stressed the critical role of digital transformation in today's tech landscape. He highlighted the significance of continuous learning and leveraging cloud technologies for business success.
