Jakob Müller Group NF-170 loom. A slow motion overview running DuPont™ Kevlar® Consumer

DuPont™ Kevlar® Consumer - 100% Kevlar tapes . Woven on a Jakob Müller Group NF-210 loom. This loom has a maximum width of maximum reed width of 165-170 mm, it is known for its adaptability to various materials. We weave direct size yarn from Saint-Gobain Vetrotex, Kevlar from DuPont™ Kevlar® Consumer, Carbon from and Innegra on this loom.

Jakob Müller Group NCE loom again . Watch the path the warp ends take through the loom. Each end has a metal drop wire on it. When an end breaks the drop wire drops on a metal bar which shuts the loom off. 🤩

This is a Jakob Müller Group NCE tape loom. It can produce fabrics and tapes with widths up to 320mm. We are weaving a 195mm wide tape for a local hockey stick manufacturer. The black rayon ends create a pattern on the blade of the stick. Some NCE models date back to the 1990s. The NCE Müller loom is part of Jakob Müller's line of narrow fabric weaving systems, which are known for their high production speeds, quality output, and versatility in producing various types of narrow textiles.

This is the back of an American DORNIER Machinery Corporation weaving loom. We are weaving basalt glass for Albarrie Canada Limited. It is primarily a twill weave, but look at the edge and there is a plain weave. 2 weaves, one cloth. Weaving looms are fascinating! #weaving #composites #reinforcement #hightemp #glass #basalt
