Take a look at the new Power BI List slicer! It offers some exciting formatting options and a big improvement in usability compared to the standard slicer. One standout feature is the ability to set up a hierarchy, something the button slicer couldn’t do. Just a heads-up—using images isn’t an option with this slicer. https://lnkd.in/grQ2hCvS #PowerBI #DataVisualization #BusinessIntelligence #Slicer #TechTip #MSPartner

Do you have issues sorting in PowerApps? At FreshBI, we have developed a column sorting function that can sort data across multiple columns simultaneously! Tech Tip: Dynamic Sorting in Power Apps Go to the "On Select" section of the icon: On Select: UpdateContext( { locSortColumn: "Column1", locSortAscending: locSortColumn<>"Column1" Or !locSortAscending } ) By doing this, you are creating the Variables: locSortColumn (the column name of the column you want to sort the gallery by) locSortAscending (for the actual action sorting) 2. Go to the "Items" section of the Gallery: Switch( locSortColumn, "Column1", Sort( Filter(Source) , column1, If(locSortAscending,SortOrder.Ascending,SortOrder.Descending) ) This way, you can use the locSortColumn variable for the different columns. The only detail here is that the name must match exactly with the name you've set for the column. 3. Extras: In section "Icon" of the Icon to have a interactive visual when clicked: If( locSortColumn<>"Column1" Or locSortColumn="Column1" And !locSortAscending, Icon.ChevronDown, Icon.ChevronUp ) In section "Color" of the Icon to change color when clicked: If(locSortColumn="Column1", Color.Black, Color.White) #TechTip #PowerBI #PowerApps #BusinessIntelligence #MSPartner
