#Meeting with representatives of the India Honey Alliance: exploring opportunities for collaboration and the development of food science and technology research to serve enhanced quality of Indian honey, supporting beekeepers, honey producers, and processors and enabling the fulsome contribution of the honey value chain in India to social and economic development.

Great opportunity to meet with His Excellency, Shri G. Kamala Vardhana Rao, CEO of the Food Safety Standards Authority of India (FSSAI Publication) to discuss opportunities of collaboration in capacity building related to food safety risk assessment and supporting the development of the Global Food Regulators’ Summit (GFRS) spearheaded by the Government of India in 2023.

The Global Food Regulatory Science Society (GFoRSS), an observer member in the International Liaison Group on Methods for Risk Assessment of Chemicals in Food and Feed (ILMERAC) attended the #17th meeting of the Network. ILMERAC is a liaison group of key food risk assessment organizations, including food regulators and research institutes aiming to support information sharing, collaboration and harmonization on food risk assessment approaches related to chemicals in Food - GFoRSS and its network are proud to be an observer in the group and aims to bring the developments of ILMERAC to its wide network in developing countries, supporting the modernization of food control systems.
