  • Don't let your leftovers go to waste! Today's inspiration comes from Community Fridge Dartmouth who shared a donation of leftovers given to them by Crurban Farm. Their kind gesture helped to fill 1 empty fridge with food that feed the local community in need. ❤️ Are you a small business that could do something similar? Let's get together and help reduce food waste. 🙏

  • This is your sign to recycle your plastic bags ♻️ This community group in South Side Chicago meets every Wednesday to turn plastic bags into sleeping mats for those in need. The project is a great way to make use of plastic bags which would otherwise end up in landfills.

  • Did you know that 90% of Canadians say they support organ donation; but only 32% are actually registered? @transplantmanitoba and @donate_your_organs are on a mission to get as many Canadians registered as possible. There are currently 4000+ Canadians on the waiting list for lifesaving transplants. Could you help? If you support organ donation, please register your decision at donateyourorgans.ca

  • A little love goes a long way! In 2016, members of The North Grove, Dartmouth, chose to bring a community farm to life. What was initially an empty field, is now a thriving farm that has provided more than 24,000 pounds of fresh food to community members. 92% of people say The North Grove’s programs provide them with an important source of healthy food and at the same time, this project is doing its part to help the environment. @nsgives #dartmouthns #novascotialife #novascotia #dartmouth

  • Today's inspiration comes from Ottawa, where 85 year old Betty Hope-Gittens is taking on the challenge of walking across PEI to raise funds for Ottawa Mission. She's taking to the streets in memory of her son Simon, who passed away in February 2024. The challenge will take her 35 days to complete and during this time, she'll be walking 20-25 miles a day to cover a grand total of 700km!
