Green Economy Calgary, a collaboration between Alberta Ecotrust Foundation and Green Economy Canada, is launching a Climate Action Microgrant to help fund sustainability efforts! For our current members, this is a fantastic opportunity to secure funding for your sustainability projects. Thanks to the generous support of the City of Calgary, there are six microgrants of up to $5,000 each available to eligible Green Economy Leaders of GEYYC. These grants are aimed at advancing greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction, water conservation, and waste reduction and diversion initiatives. The application period for the Climate Action Microgrant is now open, and projects will be accepted on a rolling basis until the funding runs out. Projects must be completed by July 31, 2025 to be eligible for the grant. Emissions Reduction Alberta (ERA)’s Strategic Energy Management for Industry (SEMI) program is offering industrial and manufacturing facilities with financial incentives to improve their energy management, including up to $1,000,000 to implement energy-efficient capital retrofits. The program will also help cover the cost of strategic energy management training, strategic energy management information systems, and energy assessment and audits.
