World's first news platform aimed at reducing bias.

About us

By threading multiple perspectives from thousands of publications through one platform, Ground News frees people from algorithmic restraints, illuminates blindspots and makes media bias explicit. Neutral in assessment, efficient in consumption, all in service of empowering you to make educated decisions. Our vision is positive coexistence where cooperative, civil debate is the norm, media is accountable, and critical thought is the baseline of our information consumption. We’re not better news. We’re a better way to read it. • Our CEO and Co-Founder, Harleen K., had the privilege of speaking to the brilliant Liv Boeree on her podcast, Win-Win. Liv is a poker champion and speaker who is now working to find, study, and elevate the win-wins in life. They spoke about their mutual distaste for Moloch, the incentive systems that put us in echo chambers, and, more importantly, the ones that can get us out. Check out Liv’s work and watch the full interview: https://lnkd.in/gRQ7p8mC

You'll be the driving force (and face) behind our strategy and presence on video-first social media platforms. It's a unique opportunity for someone with a deep interest and understanding of Internet culture, especially concerning politics and news. • We’re proud to have sponsored Dissident Dialogues, an event that gathered the world’s leading cultural critics, heterodox thinkers, and dissidents under one greenhouse in Brooklyn. As a company that has long informed readers and supported creators from across the globe and political spectrum, we were delighted to see our vision come to life in the physical world. A future where diversity of thought is abundant and well-informed, civil debate is the norm. Thanks to all of our readers who stopped by to say hi, creators who have supported our mission for years, and to This Is 42 for putting on a great show.

  • Last week, we ran our Most Trusted News Source competition on X and Instagram, and 32 outlets competed to see which sources have earned the public’s trust and distrust. Here are the outcomes of both of the brackets. The X community voted The Free Press as this year’s most trusted news source, while the Instagram community selected Reuters. The results were starkly different, and the outcomes can help demonstrate how perceptions of media bias may differ across platforms. Which outlet do you think the community would select as its most trusted if we ran this competition on LinkedIn?
