Want access to the paper we developed on the Hidden Costs of Sales Demotivators? Simply comment "share" and we'll send you a copy.
Beware of the seven deadly demotivators. I wrote a paper called The Hidden Costs of Sales Demotivators and I’m sharing the Seven Deadly Demotivators in the video along with a few other demotivators to keep an eye out for. Why is this important? If your organization has inherent demotivator, your team will not be performing at their full potential. If anyone would like me to send them the paper that outlines the motivators simply comment “share” and I’ll send it over to you immediately. Healthy competition = good. Unhealthy competition = bad. Great article on the right kind of competition can be found here - https://lnkd.in/ew6F4fSD
Is competition on a team good or bad? Does it lead to less team cohesion or more? Todays video is focused on the research paper titled "A Competitive Path to Cohesion: Multilevel Effects of Competitiveness in the Sales Force". The idea came to me at 6am this morning as I was coaching my son's hockey team - watching the kids compete and have fun. The article is by Alec Pappas Wyatt S. Manoshi Samaraweera and Willy Bolander, Ph.D. (Who has a great podcast called The Sales Lab Podcast ) This study turns the table on traditional views, showing how trait competitiveness can actually foster group cohesion in sales teams, reducing turnover without impacting performance. A game-changer for managing sales and team dynamics! #SalesManagement #TeamCohesion #Competitiveness

Change is a constant, or so they say. After a few great client sessions this week, I’m reflecting on the various change management models and tips I’ve learned by revisiting some of my favorite change books. Rework by Jason Fried is one of my all time favs and contains so many practical tips to change your business and your life. Transforming Sales Management by Dr. Grant Van Ulbrich is a new fav as the author takes us through a useful framework called Scared So What that is used to help sales teams and sales leaders through change. John Kotter 8 Step Change Model was a game changer for me as I felt like I learned a superpower. One of my all time favorited is Kurt Lewins change model of Unfreeze thinking, implement change, and refreeze thinking. It’s simple enough for me to remember. I suppose change and growth are inextricably linked, which is why I started Growth Champions Consulting - to bring the best available evidence from academia and practitioners to companies committed to growth and success. #change #sales #growth

What lessons could possibly be learned from the Vikings?!?
Something fun for today… I’m at Saint Mary’s University this week finishing out my Doctoral term and beginning a new block. It’s an intense week of work so I wanted to post something fun. Jocko Willink wrote a kids book called The Way of the Warrior Kid and in it he includes a series of creedos. My favorite is the Viking Laws, which translate so beautifully to business. The book is a great one to read to your kids. My boys loved it. Enjoy! Growth Champions Consulting #business #growth #jocko
