Off to #CES2025 ... while CES 2025 is still 6 weeks, browsing the 356 CES Innovations Award nominees, some of the #XR / #AR / #SpatialComputing / #RealityCapture related innovations and products that caught me eye include; The BEST OF INNOVATION in XR this year are; ✔️ Sony XT Head Mounted Display SRH-S1 - "High-Quality 4K per eye XR Head-Mounted Display and Controllers Dedicated to Interaction with 3D Objects" (a HMD I've been able to try out twice this year already 😉 ✔️ Haply Robotics with miniVerse - "a compact haptic device designed to elevate metaverse interactions. Offering unparalleled precision for 3D touch, it delivers realistic tactile feedback, enabling users to interact with virtual environments with exceptional accuracy." Honourees include; ✔️ SOLiDVUE with their SL-2.2 - "the world’s first 400x128 high-resolution single-chip LiDAR sensor IC designed for compact solid-state #LiDAR". ✔️ XREAL with Beam Pro - "companion device for XREAL AR glasses, giving users a simple way to access social media, streaming entertainment, and gaming platforms in a stunning 3D-aware AR environment." ✔️ iPOP Co. Last week, our Product Manager, Jessica Henry, had the privilege of attending the launch of the Yokohama Tech Hub during its opening week. 🇯🇵 🌟 The event, Boston X Yokohama: Bridging Innovation in Robotics and Beyond, marked the unveiling of a cutting-edge innovation and robotics hub developed by Mitsubishi Estate and the City of Yokohama. This space is set to become a thriving center for collaboration between startups and industry leaders and technological advancement. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Mitsubishi Corporation and the City of Yokohama for hosting us during this event and to MassRobotics for their continued support and for providing the opportunity to pitch and participate in such an impactful event. Postcards from Japan! 🇯🇵 Our co-founders, Yi (Steven) Ding and Colin Gallacher, had the privilege of visiting our partner Shinkawa Electric Co. Ltd.'s exhibition in Kawasaki, Japan, where we showcased our Inverse3 and Haptic Advanced Robotics Platform (H.A.R.P) for simulation and robotic control. We kicked off the week by exhibiting at MassRobotics and Mitsubishi Corporation's Technology Showcase and connecting with our amazing Japanese distributors and partners, as well as some of Japan's largest automotive and consumer electronics companies. A big thank you to Toshiya Matsumoto, our Product Manager with Shinkawa, for his incredible work setting up our product in the Japanese market, and to Mecademic for their Meca500 robot, which has been a fantastic addition to our robotic control showcase. Next week, we’ll wrap up this productive trip at the Aichi Landing Pad, supported by Canada's National Research Council Canada / Conseil national de recherches Canada IRAP, where we'll be exhibiting our technology for an entire week. We are excited to continue strengthening our partnerships and bringing our technology to new markets worldwide.
