  • “At Hank Deenen Landscaping Limited, our journey to achieving COR® certification marks a significant milestone in our commitment to workplace safety and a culture of care. Implementing COR® has not only improved our safety protocols and reduced incidents but has strengthened our team’s dedication to a safety-first mindset. This certification is a testament to our values of accountability and excellence, earning client trust and empowering us to take on projects with the highest standards of safety.” - Hank Deenen Landscaping Limited “At Compex Construction Inc., getting COR® certified was a big step in showing how seriously we take health and safety on every job. As a small team, we all wear a lot of hats, so safety has to be something we’re all on board with. Working through the COR® process helped us tighten up our procedures, give our crew better tools and training, and make sure our job sites are as safe as they can be. Since getting certified, we’ve seen our team step up and take more ownership of safety, which has been a win for everyone.” - Compex Construction Inc. “The most impactful change since COR® certification has been the understanding of how our policies will be implemented and the importance of streamlining our procedures to meet requirements while not becoming a burden to staff. TRCA also has a large Joint Health and Safety Committee program that is continuously attracting new members and conversations about safety.” - Toronto and Region Conservation Authority For more information on COR®, visit https://lnkd.in/diPswZF.

  • Driving is among the riskier activities a person can undertake during a normal day. It’s even more hazardous in winter. Cold, seasonal weather (like snow, ice, sleet, and freezing rain) and slick roadways require all motorists to rethink their driving habits. By following the “Four Ps” of winter driving—preparation, planning, patience, and practice—you can help keep Ontario’s road safe for everyone. Learn more about the four Ps of safe winter driving at ihsa.ca/four-ps.
