This week we celebrate Women’s History Month by highlighting professional auto racing driver, Katherine Legge. Katherine Anne Legge (b. July 12, 1980) is a British professional auto racing driver who competes full-time in the IMSA SportsCar Championship, part-time in the IndyCar Series and part-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Katherine Legge made history during the inaugural Formula E season in 2014/15, becoming the all-electric race series’ s first female driver. A native of Guildford, England, Legge was the first driver to join the Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY, a support series to Formula E, in conjunction with the 2018/19 season. Legge, whose background includes Formula 3, Formula Renault, a Formula One test, Champ Car, IndyCar, A1GP, DTM, Formula E, and sports car racing, talked about her decision to join Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing’s team ahead of the inaugural I-PACE eTROPHY season. “In my world, I’m a race car driver and it doesn’t matter if you’re male or female—the car won’t know the difference.”- Katherine Legge Dive into her inspiring story here: https://lnkd.in/gdPcsgcm #wearejlr #internationalwomensmonth #celebratewomen #equality

Patterson, the only known African American founder of an automotive company. C.R. Patterson & Sons Company was founded in 1893, after a partnership with J.P.
