Learn more about how our organization serves the community. ISSP focuses on community-based alternative to custody that incorporates rehabilitative interventions and support services specific to the individual female youth. All youth may have access to individual and group counseling, teacher and counselor supported education, social, cultural, and recreational activities, along with work and volunteer experience. When I was struggling with housing instability, Crislynne's support provided me with more than financial assistance – it gave me hope and a path forward. As a survivor of domestic abuse, leaving my situation seemed impossible until your support provided a way out. This grant has enabled me to: • Find safe housing away from my abuser • Begin healing and rebuilding my life • Take steps towards independence Without this support, I probably wouldn't have been able to leave my abusive relationship and secure safe, affordable housing. Who knows where I would end up - probably homeless. Employment Services "I was a participant in the Voyager program, and I found the program very helpful as I was able to get all my certifications for different fields of employment. The program was very helpful for my future goal setting as it gave me wonderful ideas for my future ahead. My employment is going wonderfully as I love my job and everything it offers. I would recommend this program to anyone, as it helps build you as a person and also gives you the motivation to succeed in anything you put your mind to. His friendly demeanor and eagerness to learn quickly helped foster a sense of camaraderie within the group. After completing the three weeks of training, he found employment soon after. He currently works at a food distribution warehouse using his forklift license! We are proud to share that he has now been employed for six months! As a full-time employee, he also has access to extended health benefits. Join us tomorrow, February 26th, wear pink, and take a stand against bullying. Together, we can let kindness grow! JHS Vic supports @pinkshirtday who use the funds raised through official merchandise sales and donations to help hundreds of kids affected by bullying. Since 2008, net proceeds of over $2.55 million have been distributed to support youth anti-bullying programs in British Columbia and throughout Western Canada. In 2022 alone, they were able to support programs that impacted more than 50,000 youth and children. 💖✨ #PinkShirtDay #LetKindnessGrow
