Jowat Canada Ltd. is a supplier of industrial adhesives and was founded in 2002. All employees are involved in sales, along with a good network of different distributors. The sales team has over 40 years of adhesive experience and serves the wood, packaging and automotive industries. One warehouse is located in Drummondville (Quebec), which services the Quebec and Eastern Canada customers. Another warehouse is located in Brampton, which services mainly the county of Ontario and also all other provinces. The achievements of the past years and the continued success is due to the hard working team, which consists of direct employees along with partners in distribution, warehousing and valuable solution partners. Customer service is a very valuable part of the team by supporting and servicing all customers. Jowat Canada Ltd. is a subsidiary of the family-owned enterprise Jowat SE and therefore part of the company group. Jowat SE with headquarters in Detmold is one of the world’s leading suppliers of industrial adhesives. These are mainly used in woodworking and furniture manufacture, in the paper and packaging industry, for graphic arts, in the textile, automotive as well as in the electrical industry. The company was founded in 1919 and has manufacturing sites in Germany in Detmold and Elsteraue, plus four other producing subsidiaries, Jowat Corporation in the USA, Jowat Swiss AG, Jowat Manufacturing in Malaysia, and Jowat China Adhesives Co. Ltd. The supplier of all adhesive groups is manufacturing 100,000 tonnes of adhesives per year, with 1,300 employees. A global location structure with 26 organisations plus partner companies is guaranteeing local service with close customer contact.

Too high adhesive temperatures in edgebanding ♨️ Edgebanding failures can be caused by too high processing temperatures of the hot melt adhesive. This can lead to increased stringing, misaligned edgebands and a yellow-brownish discoloring of the hot melt adhesive. In addition, it increases the risk of the adhesive being pressed out of the joint and soiling the product. Prolonged standstills are particularly critical and may lead to an overheating of the adhesive in the melter. 🌡️ One tried and trusted solution to prevent this failure is to measure the temperature directly at the applicator roller using an infrared thermometer and to adjust it if necessary. With Donald Trump back in the Oval Office Monday, this will prove a very anxious week for the Canadian business community. If the president’s promise tariffs were to be imposed, nearly nine in ten Canadian manufacturers would face significant or very severe impacts on their business, according to a survey conducted by Canadian Exporters and Manufacturers. With 25 % tariffs in place, manufacturers will contemplate a few mitigating measures: 48 % may freeze hiring or lay off workers, 46 % may postpone or cancel planned capital investments, and 49 % may shift some of their production to the U.S. #ckca #ckca68
