FOOD INDUSTRY GAME CHANGER A big thank you to JW Marriott Parq Vancouver for their outstanding partnership with VFR since 2020. Under the leadership of Executive Chef Kunal Dighe, who now leads JW Marriott Minneapolis, they’ve implemented systems to reduce food surplus in their kitchen and ensure that any excess food is redirected to support community food programming. Look at what the JW Marriott Parq Vancouver team has accomplished: 🌟 317 food deliveries by VFR volunteers 🍏 35,000 pounds of food donated ♻️ 103,000 pounds of CO2eq mitigated 🧑🧑🧒🧒 35 nonprofits supported We’re proud to see organizations like JW Marriott Parq Vancouver making a difference by fighting food waste and helping strengthen local food programs. Our hearts are with the people of Los Angeles, the heroic first responders, and the nearly 30,000 associates wearing a Marriott name badge throughout California.     During times of loss and sadness, it is hard to make sense of the magnitude of hardship, and harder still to find moments of light. It won’t surprise you that our associates are working tirelessly to bring such moments to our guests, including both those displaced by the fires and first responders who are still actively working to contain the fires.    Our teams and Business Councils throughout the state have mobilized to help relief organizations – ranging from assembling hygiene kits and collecting clothing to delivering supplies and notes of gratitude to fire stations around the city.    Marriott International is also supporting the American Red Cross and World Central Kitchen to further their important work to help those affected by the 2025 California wildfires.    Marriott Bonvoy Members can join us in supporting response efforts by donating Marriott Bonvoy points to the American Red Cross and World Central Kitchen, which we will match up to 100 million points in 2025. https://lnkd.in/ewdjzrar   To our teams in L.A. and throughout California, thank you — for your courage, resilience, and dedication to service.
