What message is 🇨🇦 sending to our trading partners? Right now, it's that we have a supply chain that is often interrupted by labour disruptions. Just last year, a two-week strike damaged our economy and our reputation. And in the not too distant past, the supply chain has been interrupted by activism and protests too. It all comes at a cost. A cost to the economy, to affordability, to jobs, and, ultimately, to people that rely on the services that government provides. When CN and CPKC trains idle, our economy idles. When Vancouver Fraser Port Authority and Prince Rupert Port Authority are at a standstill, our economy is at a standstill. Can we figure out a fair way to resolve labour disputes that respects bargaining rights without interrupting the nation's economy? Trading partners and shippers have choices. Canadian ports can be bypassed by shipping through the US or Mexico. Let's protect our gateways - an important economic backbone to the west coast and all of Canada - and the jobs that go with it. #railways #trucking #ports #trade #gateways #shipping

We are pleased to announce that Jeremy Berry, APR, DComm has been promoted to Senior Vice President and Partner and has joined the partnership group at Kirk & Co. alongside Judy Kirk, Chris Chok, Mike McDonald, Samuel Oliphant and Anna Wright.   Since joining our team in 2021 from Canadian Pacific, Jeremy has been a part of our growth and success with a focus on energy, mining, transportation, government and post-secondary clients. From media relations to strategic planning, issues management to executive counsel, and everything in between, Jeremy brings his 20+ years of experience to bear each day. Jeremy lives in the Calgary area and will continue to provide excellent service to our clients across Western Canada. This is a proud moment for our firm, and we thank you for the opportunity to share it with you.

I’m honored to share that this year, I was invited to join the St. Paul’s Foundation Futures Board. I’m excited to contribute in this new role and will have more updates to come. In the meantime, I’m proud to share my personal story through St. Paul's Foundation. It’s a meaningful way for me to give back and support the life-changing care provided by St. Paul’s Hospital, which has been crucial in my journey. Today, we celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day and the cultures, traditions, and successes of Indigenous Peoples across Canada. Earlier this week, members of our team joined with members of the Musqueam Indian Band, Squamish Nation and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh Nation) to hear from Nations’ leadership about Reconciliation in Action. Our team is privileged to support the work of MST and many other Indigenous groups on projects benefiting First Nations and Indigenous communities. #NIPD
