On this #WorldDiabetesDay, we recognize that diabetes is one of the most common chronic diseases affecting children and youth. Managing diabetes impacts not only physical health but also mental well-being, with many young people facing anxiety and depression as they navigate life with this condition. The Lawson Foundation is committed to addressing the growing challenge of diabetes among children and families, especially in Northern and Indigenous communities where First Nations individuals currently face an 80% lifetime risk by the age of 20.
