About us
The Localization Fireside Chat, Founded and led by Robin Ayoub, serves as a platform for connecting Localization professionals and experts with a vested interest in the industry, whether directly or indirectly involved. After careful consideration, I have been contemplating the most effective way to facilitate the exchange of insights from key figures within our industry. The primary goal is to disseminate their wealth of knowledge to a wider audience, all within a relaxed and informal setting that emulates a virtual coffee conversation or your preferred warm beverage. This contemplation has led me to introduce the Localization Fireside Chat – an L10N community channel that extends an open invitation to individuals to share their unique narratives. Each of us has a story worth sharing, and our collective aim is to not only share and illuminate but also to collaboratively chart the course ahead. This discourse requires no elaborate preparations. There's no need for PowerPoint presentations or meticulously planned discussion points (although you're welcome to include them if you wish). Rather, the emphasis is on your personal journey within a laid-back environment, where the occasional lighthearted joke might just find its way into the conversation. Moreover, I extend a warm welcome to those outside the L10N industry. If you operate a business that necessitates global language support, your perspective is equally valued and sought after. I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to showcase your narrative and amplify your insights. Your story is an integral part of the ever-evolving conversation we aim to foster.
