"It's time to attract flags!" The Magnet Forensics Virtual Summit Capture the Flag (#CTF) has been going on for about two weeks now. The first person to finish it completed it this past Saturday evening, my time. Since people have begun sharing writeups, I will do the same. My writeup in written form is still in the process of editing, but the video version of the writeup is good to come out. The video version will be split into five sections, one for each section: iOS, Android, Chromebook. Windows, and Google Takeout. I am proud to share the first part with you now. This will cover all 20 of the iOS challenges, of which I fully solved 18 a majority by myself. One extra was solved with the help of a writeup and the other was missed on guesses. My future videos will include descriptions of how to find the ones that I missed during the event as well as techniques on how I found the ones that I did find. Here is the video! -> https://lnkd.in/dP_Nj3hU #CTF #digitalforensics #forensicanalysis #iosforensics #iOSforensics #mobieforensics #video #forensicinvestigation

The past three weeks have been incredibly exciting and full of learning at the #MagnetVirtualSummit2025 by Magnet Forensics! I had the opportunity to attend insightful digital forensics sessions covering iOS, Android, cloud investigations and more, which deepened my understanding of not just the tools and processes but also the critical thinking required beyond them. The event concluded with a challenging and fun MVS Capture the Flag (CTF) competition, powered by Hexordia. A huge thank you to Jessica Hyde, Kevin Pagano and all the contributors from the Champlain Digital Forensics Association for organizing such an engaging and educational CTF experience! This was my first time participating in a CTF competition, and it has been a fantastic learning experience. It has motivated me to assess my knowledge gaps, refine my digital forensics skills, and continue developing my investigative mindset. Looking forward to more learning and challenges ahead! #DigitalForensics #MagnetForensics #CTF #Cybersecurity #Learning #MVS2025
