About us
Massive Canada’s long-term goal is to capitalize on the rapidly growing demand for mass timber construction that is driven by the technology’s low carbon footprint and recent changes to the building codes allowing up to 12 storeys in Canada and up to 18 storeys in US jurisdictions. Traditional construction involves a proven but painfully slow set of steps done by a variety of trades normally coordinated by a General Contractor. Such building construction has been contributing to 40% of annual global CO2 emissions, of which materials and construction are responsible for 11% annually. Canada has the third highest greenhouse gas emissions per person in the world. As we enter a new age where environmental awareness is key to our future, the global manufacturing and construction market is demanding more sustainable building solutions. Mass timber construction technology represents a pivotal shift in how buildings are designed, prefabricated, assembled, operated, and maintained. Modern mass timber has now replaced traditional heavy timber construction with new materials and methods that are causing ripple effects across the global building industry. Unlike concrete and steel construction, mass timber is sustainably harvested, stress-graded and precision machined. Efficiency in construction results from prefabricating components off-site with tighter tolerances. Massive’s CEO, Gaetan Royer, and his team seized this huge opportunity in transforming how we build and construct by connecting the Massive solution to the network of industry leaders and First Nations partners. The team is committed to improving the world we live in by providing innovative energy efficient building solutions to communities

Small businesses are the lifeblood of local communities, yet they face growing challenges, including disruptions caused by construction. According to this article from Western Investor, nearly 70% of small businesses in Canada have reported disruptions due to ongoing construction projects. These disruptions often lead to decreased foot traffic, reduced sales, and extended project timelines, creating a ripple effect of financial stress for business owners. For many small businesses, construction projects in their vicinity mean long-term closures, restricted access, and an unpredictable flow of customers. The Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB) highlights that while infrastructure improvements are necessary, the methods and timelines can be devastating to local businesses. With projects dragging on for months or even years, business owners struggle to stay afloat amid the noise, dust, and restricted access. At Massive Canada, we recognize the profound impact that lengthy construction projects have on businesses and communities. Our solution lies in innovative prefabrication technology that significantly reduces the need for on-site construction, accelerating project timelines and minimizing disruptions. With our streamlined construction methods, we are helping to reshape how communities grow—building more in less time while keeping disruptions to a minimum. The future of construction is faster, cleaner, and more sustainable with Massive Canada at the forefront. https://lnkd.in/gdBdJPvG

🚨 **Tackling the Housing Crisis: The Role of Modular Housing** 🚨 As the housing crisis continues to challenge communities across Canada, it's clear that traditional construction methods are not enough to meet the growing demand for affordable homes. Modular housing offers a promising solution, with the potential to significantly speed up construction times and deliver high-quality housing more efficiently. The beauty of modular housing lies in its efficiency: homes are built off-site in a controlled environment, which reduces delays due to weather and other external factors. Once completed, these homes are transported to their final location for quick assembly, drastically cutting down the time from conception to completion. For modular housing to truly make an impact, regulatory bodies must adapt to these innovative construction methods. Streamlined approvals, updated building codes, and supportive policies are essential to harness the full potential of modular housing to address our housing shortages. Contact massivecanada.ai to learn how modular construction can help accelerate your projects. 🏠✨ Read more about the potential of modular housing in this insightful article from the Prince George Citizen: https://lnkd.in/g8V-G-NC

We think CondoCore would be ideal for a project with 548 rental units in two towers. CondoCore simplifies construction. Massive's industrialized units, designed with AI features, save time & money; lowering construction costs is important for rental housing, where margins are thin and ROI is slow.
