San Juan recently joined the Large Investment Incentive Regime (RIGI) when it voted the province's adherence into law, becoming the fifth province to do so in Argentina. The RIGI aims to boost the mining sector by offering investors tax and foreign exchange benefits and providing legal certainty for large investments. The regime is open for applications for two years and extendable for one more year. It offers benefits such as reduced corporate income tax, accelerated depreciation, and withholding tax relief on certain payments to foreign beneficiaries. This news is significant for Argentina and San Juan, as it opens up additional opportunities for crucial projects in the province, such as Los Azules. For Argentina, this is a before and after. According to Mining Intelligence (2022), Los Azules is one of the top 10 global copper projects based on resources. It is part of McEwen Copper, which has strategic investors including McEwen Mining Inc., Stellantis, Robert McEwen, and Rio Tinto's Nuton Technology Venture. Los Azules is slated for feasibility in Q1 2025. #copper #innovation #future #esg #mining #argentina

Christmas with a Local Touch This holiday season, McEwen Copper is celebrating the spirit of community by creating Christmas boxes filled entirely with products sourced from Calingasta, the region where our Los Azules project is located. This initiative, led by our Local Content Manager, Patricio Musitano, highlights our dedication to supporting local producers and fostering sustainable economic growth. Each box features organic and certified goods, carefully crafted by local artisans and small businesses. By sharing these gifts, we’re not only spreading holiday cheer but also reinforcing our commitment to empowering the community and showcasing the exceptional quality of local products. Through this project, we aim to strengthen ties with the people of Calingasta and underline the importance of sustainable practices that benefit both the environment and the economy. #ProyectoLosAzules #Christmas #MerryChristmas #Mining
