On November 2nd, the MedMe team had the privilege of attending Pharmacy U conference in Vancouver, where industry leaders and educators gathered to explore the future of pharmacy care. A standout moment was the keynote session, “Prescription to Thrive,” delivered by Pam Kennedy, NS pharmacy owner, and Glenn Rodrigues , Pharmacy Practice Facilitator at Pharmacy Association of Nova Scotia (PANS). Pam and Glenn shared their insights on how small, strategic changes can transform pharmacy workflows and expand clinical services. A key part of their success was the move to appointment-based services, which allowed them to better organize their workdays and provide more capacity for patient care. Pam highlighted how using a tool like MedMe was instrumental in making that shift possible, helping their team streamline appointments and improve efficiencies. Their inspiring message, “𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮’𝐫𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐭𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐭𝐡”, resonated deeply with attendees. Our CPO and co-founder, Nicholas Hui, also had the opportunity to connect with Louis Chute, President of Lifesmart Health, who has been leveraging MedMe’s platform to gear up for flu season. It’s always a pleasure to meet our customers and learn about their experience with MedMe! From impactful speeches to meaningful connections, PharmacyU reinforced the importance of technology in driving better outcomes for pharmacies and their patients. Thanks Pharmacy U! ☺️

This week, we’re spotlighting 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 —a global health crisis projected to cause 10 million deaths annually by 2050 if left unchecked. Pharmacists are at the forefront of combating antimicrobial resistance, ensuring antibiotics are used wisely and educating patients on their safe and effective use. 💡 The Numbers Speak: - Over 1.27 million deaths per year are directly attributed to antimicrobial resistance - Up to 50% of prescribed antibiotics are unnecessary or incorrectly used, fuelling resistance. - Proper antibiotic use could save $20–50 billion globally in healthcare costs annually. 📢 Together, we can: ✔️ Raise awareness about the dangers of misuse and overuse. ✔️ Empower healthcare professionals with tools to guide patients on proper antibiotic use. ✔️ Advocate for innovative solutions to preserve the effectiveness of antibiotics. Happy Friday everybody! We're back with another edition of 𝑭𝒍𝒖 𝑭𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝑭𝒓𝒊𝒅𝒂𝒚𝒔. Every week, we’re showcasing a MedMe feature designed to help pharmacies navigate flu season with ease. This week, we’re focusing on 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐤-𝐈𝐧𝐬 – a crucial part of pharmacy operations, especially during busy seasons like flu time. Walk-ins can be challenging to manage without the right tools, which is why at MedMe, we've made it simpler than ever for pharmacies to handle walk-ins accurately and without hassle. Here's how it works: 1. Patients just head to your pharmacy’s booking page, select “walk-in,” and fill out intake questions along with any required vaccine questionnaires. Easy, right? 2. All patient details are seamlessly recorded, so pharmacies have everything they need upfront. 3. With our dedicated dashboard, pharmacy staff can view and manage walk-in patients in real-time, ensuring everyone gets the care they need without missing a beat. The result? Smoother workflows, less wait time, and an elevated patient experience! Want to take advantage of walk-ins in your pharmacy? Let’s connect! #PharmacyTech #PatientExperience #MedMeHealth #WalkInReady #PharmacyInnovation
