On International Day of Women and Girls in Science, we are celebrating Metro Vancouver’s Senior Ambient Air Technician with Air Quality & Climate Action Services, who has spent over 17 years monitoring and maintaining the scientific instruments that track air quality across Metro Vancouver. Her work ensures the data collected is accurate and reliable — supporting air quality advisories, planning, and regulations that help protect public health and the environment. "Working in the sciences has given me an interesting, meaningful, and practical career that adds value. I feel privileged and empowered to work in a field that challenges me and makes a difference to a growing region." Fun Fact: The air quality data collected powers AirMap, which gets the most visits on Metro Vancouver’s website during wildfire smoke events. #InternationalDayOfWomenandGirlsInScience
