🌟 Employee Spotlight: Warren McIlwain   Meet Warren McIlwain, our Sr. Land Agent / Office Manager in our Lloydminster, AB office!   👨💼 Role & Responsibilities: With 36 years of experience, Warren has found that making time to thoroughly review all questions and concerns from not only his team, but also clients, is peril to his success. He makes sure to still get out of the office to interact with his clients and landowners before completing final packages for clients.   🏆 Achievements & Contributions: No matter how big or small a project may be, they all hold the same amount of significance to Warren and are what ensures he enjoys his job even more the next day. He takes pride in the relationships he’s not only built with clients but also with his coworkers and cherishes his memories from the various company functions.   💼 Expertise & Experience: Warren started his career by earning his diploma from the Olds College. Ever since, he has valued becoming a well-rounded land agent and takes an interest in other industry divisions such as environment, engineering, and construction. He is always up for a challenge and enjoys the many personalities he encounters day-to-day both in the office and out in the field.   🌱 Commitment to Excellence: To stay in touch with the ever-changing trends in the industry, Warren always keeps the lines of communication open with colleagues. 🌟 Employee Spotlight: Courtney Gress Meet Courtney Gress, General Manager SE Sask in our Estevan, SK office! 👨💼 Role & Responsibilities: Aside from overseeing both the Estevan and the Arcola offices, Courtney also manages pre-development portfolios including setting up new projects, searching databases for pre-screening information, completing field assessments on proposed new projects, writing and reviewing reporting for the approvals process, preparing cost estimates, and tracking projects to completion. 🏆 Achievements & Contributions: Courtney is most proud of her work with managing the pre-development portfolio and growing that side of the company. However, she is also very interested in understanding the full picture of the industry and is very intrigued in the Land Agent side as it factors significantly into her job scope as well. 💼 Expertise & Experience: Courtney earned her Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Biology and has since been working in the industry for 18 years. One of her favourite parts of the industry is that you can never know everything. She always tells newcomers that you will constantly be learning and it takes a collaborative effort to get the job done. 🌱 Commitment to Excellence: To make sure she is always up to date on all industry trends, she reviews many bulletins and subscribes to mails outs. Courtney also likes to make sure she is constantly furthering her knowledge and education by attending conferences and webinars. 🎉Fun Fact about Courtney: When she isn’t working, Courtney spends her time with her husband and their two children, Colby and Caden along with their dog Jett. 🌟 Employee Spotlight: Joshua House Meet Josh House, Senior Project Manager in our Estevan, SK office! 👨💼 Role & Responsibilities: As a senior project manager in the Southeast Saskatchewan area, Josh is constantly meeting with new and returning clients that operate in Southeast Saskatchewan and Southwest Manitoba. He sees himself as a liaison between industry and community, always ensuring everyone keeps well informed on the standards and practices amongst the industry. Although this can often involve some difficult conversations, Josh always remembers that it is more beneficial to ensure everyone he encounters is as well informed. 🏆 Achievements & Contributions: Josh takes a lot of pride in the great relationships he’s built with his clients, landowners and stakeholders. He truly makes their priorities, his priorities, to ensure a successful outcome, ensuring his future success with them. With his experience in other aspects of the industry, Josh is uniquely qualified to understand the full picture of what everyone involved needs on a deeper level that most. 💼 Expertise & Experience: With 20 years of industry experience, Josh originally started as a well tester travelling throughout most of Alberta. In 2006 he attended Olds College to start his career as a Land Agent has never looked back. His favourite part of the industry is the people, from the hard-working crews he’s met/worked alongside to the landowners and stakeholders, they make him love his job more and more every day. 🌱 Commitment to Excellence: Josh likes to stay fully informed on everything happening in the industry and enjoys attending online courses through the Olds College and IRWA. When he has a spare minute, he also enjoys reading articles and engaging with colleagues in the industry. He finds it very beneficial to always keep communication lines open with everyone he comes across, both in person and online, as information always seems to come full circle. 🎉Fun Fact about Josh: When he isn’t working, Josh is typically found at the rink either playing hockey or coaching one of his three children’s hockey teams. In the summer, he is almost always outside either at the beach house, fishing/hunting or spending quality time with his wife, three kids, and their horses on their acreage. 👏Help us in wishing Josh many more years of success at Millennium Land Ltd.👏
