And so it begins.... Early this morning, US President, Donald Trump implemented is proposed tariffs on Canadian goods. These include: - 25 per cent tariffs on all Canadian imports; and - Lower 10 per cent tariffs on energy. The Canadian Government then responded by imposing 25 per cent tariffs on $30 billion in goods imported from the US. These include: 🔸 a variety of food, dairy and other agricultural products; 🔸 a variety of household and consumer goods; 🔸 tires; 🔸 a variety of wood products (including particle board, plywood etc.); 🔸 certain paper products (including toilet paper); 🔸 carpeting; 🔸 a variety of clothing; and 🔸 many other things. The list of covered goods is long, and I urge you to review it carefully to assess the impact on your project and your supply chain. These would include: - 25 per cent tariffs on all Canadian imports; and - Lower 10 per cent tariffs on energy.
