The Wild Blueberry Producers Association of NS will be hosting their Annual General Meeting Thursday, November 21st and Friday, November 22nd. Building upon the success of the pilot Tourism Corridor Strategy Program last year, including the Atlantic UNESCO Corridor, Destination Canada has expanded the program to launch four new tourism corridors for 2024: • Cycle Ontario and Quebec • Field to Fork: Saskatchewan Manitoba Agritourism • Northern Sky Corridor (Alberta, Northwest Territories) • Juan de Fuca Corridor (British Columbia, Washington State, USA) This collaborative project will benefit not only the communities and destinations involved, but will also bolster Canada’s competitiveness by giving visitors more reasons to travel to new regions across Canada. A few key take aways from this report that can be applied here in Cumberland are the growth of cycling and agritourism tourism, increased demand for cultural experiences along with regenerative approaches and engagement with our communities to support economic growth in the tourism sector. #aworldofopportunity #tourism #NovaScotia #CumberlandCounty

As part of the project, we're looking for input from our community on tourism today and how we want it to look in the future.
