They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them. #RemembranceDay #LestWeForget

Energy conservation continues to be a key element in the energy transition as it provides one of the quickest and most cost-effective ways to maintain reliability and affordability, while achieving broader system goals. Thank you to Ontario Energy Association and Association of Power Producers of Ontario (APPrO) for highlighting this topic at this year's #OntarioEnergyConference. Together we are building a cleaner, more sustainable energy future. #EnergyConservation #SustainableFuture #EnergyTransition #OntarioEnergy #CleanEnergy
I had the privilege to attend and speak at this year’s #OntarioEnergyConference organized by the Ontario Energy Association and Association of Power Producers of Ontario (APPrO). I was inspired by the enthusiasm that filled the day. My key takeaway is that conservation, energy efficiency and demand response are essential for a reliable, sustainable electricity system in Ontario. As demand grows and resources retire, conservation becomes a vital low-cost, non-emitting solution that supports economic growth and decarbonization. With a collaborative effort, we can pave the way for a cleaner, more sustainable energy future. #Conservation #EnergyTransition #Sustainability

Energy conservation is a key element for the energy transition, providing one of the quickest and most cost-effective ways to maintain reliability and affordability, while achieving broader system goals. Scott Mudie, PEng, MBA joins a panel of industry experts to share his perspective next week at the #OntarioEnergyConference. Click below to find out more.
Join the Ontario Energy Association & Association of Power Producers of Ontario (APPrO) at the #OntarioEnergyConference on Monday, September 23rd located at the Marriott Downtown at Toronto Eaton Centre for a discussion on Energy Conservation. A panel discussion by Tam Wagner (Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO), Scott Mudie (OEC), Jamie Hutchins (CLEAResult), Cara-Lynne Wade (Enbridge Gas), moderated by Utilia Amaral (Rubicon Strategy Inc), and each of their perspectives on Energy Conservation. 🔗 Full Program: https://lnkd.in/gbN4DK2g 🎟️ RSVP: https://lnkd.in/gPb5jyeV 📅 Date: September 23rd, 2024 🕒 Time: 1:15pm – 2:15pm 📍 Location: Marriott Downtown at Toronto Eaton Centre 📍 525 Bay Street Toronto, ON M5G 2L2 This expert panel will outline the actions Ontario will need to take to leverage this most affordable resource effectively. Energy conservation continues to be a key element in the energy transition as it provides one of the quickest and most cost-effective ways to maintain reliability and affordability, while achieving broader system goals. Conservation, energy efficiency and demand response are key resources for maintaining a reliable, affordable, and sustainable electricity system in Ontario. As electricity demand is forecast to grow significantly across the province and existing resources retire or enter refurbishment, the value of conservation on the energy system increases as a low-cost, non-emitting resource that can respond to changing system needs, and to support broader economic development and decarbonization objectives. EETP: One broadly shared opinion was that, “we should be investing in all cost-effective efficiency opportunities before investing in new generation” and that we first need to focus on “getting energy efficiency and demand side management (DSM) right.” EETP = Electrification and Energy Transition Panel final report, quotes and recommendations.
