The Ontario College of Family Physicians is calling for every Ontarian to have access to a family doctor working with a team, empowered by the right technology. Enabling family doctors with the right technology can help to reduce administrative burden, decrease wait times for specialty/ surgical care and improve the patient experience. AI scribes is just one example of how we can do this. As a recent OntarioMD study showed, family physicians using an AI scribe spent 70-90% less time on paperwork and saved 3 to 4 hours per week. That’s more time for patient care. Family physicians from across the province have shared how using AI scribes in their practice has helped them to cut down the time they spend on paperwork and give that time back to patients. Supporting family doctors with the right technology will also improve the patient experience.
AI scribes take notes so that doctors don’t have to – it means they spend more time with patients and less time on their computer. This election, we are calling on candidates to prioritize support for family physicians so they can continue to focus on patients, not paperwork. Read the story below that includes the first-hand experiences of family physicians who use AI scribes: https://lnkd.in/g7XqCQUd
