It’s day two of #OCIwrapped – counting down some of our biggest accomplishments of the year! In March, we launched Ontario’s Critical Industrial Technologies #CIT initiative to great success! What is CIT? It is the amplification of Ontario’s rich critical technologies among four key sectors: 🛠️ Advanced Manufacturing  🥕 Agri-food  🏗️ Construction  ⚒️ Mining What have we done so far? We’ve launched seven challenge statements affecting one of our four main sectors. These challenges describe a major problem affecting these industries and call for innovative solutions from Ontario SMEs that are easily adoptable and scalable. And CIT is still growing! We are currently accepting applications to be a Technology Development Site (TDS). This is your opportunity to partner with OCI to build the future of industry in the province. Get ready for #OCIWrapped! We are going to be sharing some of our biggest accomplishments of the year on LinkedIn until the new year. #OCIwrapped day one! This was a big year for Ontario’s Life Sciences Innovation Fund. In August, we celebrated Ontario’s Life Sciences Week and shared some of the incredible companies we’ve supported in the life sciences sector. Over the week, we shined a spotlight on 15 amazing life sciences companies doing innovative work all across the province. From therapeutics, to revolutionizing home health care, Ontario’s Life Sciences Innovation Fund covers it all. We can’t talk about celebrating life sciences in Ontario without mentioning the 1st annual Life Sciences Innovator of the Year award. This award, sponsored by Baylis Medical Technologies awarded $25,000 to our innovator of the year to reinvest into their life science technology. We started with 70 innovative nominees for this award, and thanks to your votes, we were able to choose one incredibly deserving winner. Things don’t slow down around here just because it’s the holiday season! OCI is as busy as ever working across the province to support the innovation ecosystem. Here’s just a few of the things we’ve been up to this week! Our President and CEO, Dr. Claudia Krywiak and our Director of Business Development, Mandeep Singh Rehal met with with Titu Botos, CEO of NeuronicWorks Inc., to discuss how they help entrepreneurs and innovators turn bold ideas into market-ready products. Our Sector Manager for Advanced Manufacturing, Cameron Gray was out in Vaughan, Ontario with Daniel Toto from QTK FINE CABINETRY to see firsthand how they are integrating #criticaltechnologies into their processes. Their cutting-edge solutions, like their automated router means you get top-tier craftsmanship, unmatched efficiency, and rock-solid productivity. And that’s not all! OCI staff have been gathering toys all month long to take part in the toy drive by Oxford Properties Group – and this week we dropped off over $800 worth of toys. That’s the power of our community!
