Like science itself, the night sky can unite and enliven us, no matter where we are. As we approach the New Year and always, we are honoured to share the view with you, our community of visitors and supporters. At the heart of the Ontario Science Centre's mission is a simple but powerful belief: science belongs to all of us. For over 55 years, we’ve dedicated ourselves to crafting unforgettable experiences designed to spark delight and ignite curiosity. This year, we’ve been bringing our experiences to new places, reaching more communities in Ontario and continuing to inspire a love of science in kids of all ages. Congratulations to the Canadian Association of Science Centres | Association canadienne des centres de sciences (CASC) for winning the William Edmond Logan Award today from RCIScience (Royal Canadian Institute for Science). 🏅 RCIScience has been celebrating advancements in science for 175 years, and the William Edmond Logan Award recognizes organizations that have made outstanding contributions to science communication across Canada. Congratulations as well to the recipients of the RCIScience King Charles III Coronation Medals, awarded to Canadians who foster science culture in our country. As a proud member of CASC, we look forward to continuing to work together to connect people in Ontario and beyond with science.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Pride in STEM event this past Saturday at Harbourfront Centre. Together, we participated in fun activities that fostered creativity and collaboration while celebrating the contributions of the 2SLGBTQI+ community to science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). Visitors made bubbles in the shape of a cube, played with magnetic slime, tried Mining Microbes (pH testing) and enjoyed storytime. It was a great day of learning and connection. Yesterday, we celebrated the opening of our new experience at Cadillac Fairview Sherway Gardens! It was incredible to welcome many smiling faces as they explored Circus! Science Under the Big Top and Towers of Tomorrow with LEGO® Bricks. We can’t wait to see new visitors at Ontario Science Centre Experiences, bringing hands-on science learning to you.
