***NOW CLOSED*** 2024 Prime Contractor for Large-Scale Facility Demolition Projects RFI (Request for Information) *EXTENDED TO APRIL 5, 2024* The OWA is searching for experienced, knowledgeable, and responsible Prime Contractors to execute large-scale facility demolition projects in the Province of Alberta, Canada on behalf of the OWA. Selected Prime Contractors shall have an exemplary safety record, expertise, capability, and the capacity to perform assigned work for the OWA. Large-Scale Facility Demolition Projects typically consist of: -15-25 mid-sized oil and gas facilities to be demolished. -Demolition of all above and below-ground infrastructure, relocation of surplus assets to OWA storage yards, segregation of scrap metal and recyclable materials, and trucking/disposal of all materials. -Planning, executing, and managing all aspects of the work, under the oversight of an OWA Coordinator. -Tracking and reporting of daily activities, material transfer/disposal records, ABSA vessel destruction, scrap metal/recycling credits, and site closure information. -Equipment, vessels, tanks, and piping will be drained and cleaned by the OWA prior to execution, the demolition contractor will be responsible to complete additional cleaning at select sites. -Pipelines and wells associated with the facilities will be abandoned by the OWA prior to execution, the demolition contractor will be responsible for removal of pipeline risers to lease edge. -Hazardous materials survey information will be provided; the demolition contractor will be responsible for safe abatement of asbestos and other hazardous building materials.
