This is a love letter 💛 🧡 ❤️ To all the super connectors and communicators out there. To those fearlessly showing up, sharing real, engaging stories and encouraging us to do the same. To those driving connection through community and forging new pathways for more open, genuine, global connection. Why such a profound expression of love you ask? 🤔 After an extensive period of heads down, blinders on, highly focused work 😎 I finally had the chance to come up for air. Within no time, I realized that I didn't need a beach holiday or a silent retreat to rebalance - what I truly needed was expansion and connection. As soon as I leaned into that, incredible opportunities started showing up out of "nowhere" ✨ The first person who "called my name" from within my LinkedIn feed, turned out to be a connection catalyst. Someone who changed the trajectory of this expansive phase in ways I could not have predicted. This person is Brooke Myers, a creative business strategist, executive leader and super communicator 🙏 On the day we connected, early in New Year, she had posted about an initiative to give back a certain number of 30 min blocks, free of charge, to "pick her brain" and consult on any relevant topics. I immediately thought "wow, cool - what a way to give back to the community. I want to know this woman"! And so it began. I booked a session through the suggested platform - Pick My Brain - a dynamic knowledge marketplace where individuals and businesses can buy, sell, explore and share knowledge. More on that later 🧠 Brooke and I hit it off immediately. She then introduced me to the passionate and enigmatic founder of Pick My Brain, Maxine Cunningham. From here, I went on to connect with a wild diversity of individuals. Numerous high-value conversations later, I launched my own profile and the connections have been flowing since! Around the same time, Adam McGraw, Co-founder and CEO of CREW, a private, members only community for senior executives, starting "speaking" to me. Several conversations and a couple weeks later, I was a founding member and surrounded by some of the most open, engaging professionals you could imagine. Both platforms and opportunities have been deeply instrumental in fuelling a incredibly rich exploration phase and turning it into an unexpected launch-pad for my next chapter.
