Meet Yolanda Verge, Environmental Technologist in the Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) department in our St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador office. Yolanda has been part of Pinchin’s team for 3 years. During this time, she has participated in multiple projects, on both the small and large scale, including all things related to determining the status of and/or improving conditions related to IEQ and OHS. Some of the projects she has completed are radon measurement, radiation assessment, mould investigations and remediations, asbestos abatement, indoor air quality investigations, respiratory hazard assessments, legionella assessments, occupational hygiene surveys (air & noise) and more! We would like to introduce William Motriuk, P.Eng., Regional Practice Leader for Radon in the Prairies region and Project Engineer for our Building Science and Sustainability (BSS) Team. William started at Pinchin in 2014 and since then, has provided technical assistance to a variety of service lines as well as supported many niche projects across the company. With a diverse background of training in sustainability and building science, William provides technical support and project management for our Building Science team in Winnipeg, Manitoba. As Regional Practice Leader in the Prairies Region (Manitoba and Saskatchewan), William provides oversight and technical guidance to support our diverse and robust team of Certified Radon Measurement and Mitigation professionals in the region. From managing large public radon testing programs across the prairies to overseeing complex mitigation system designs and installations for our commercial, public, and industrial clients, William continues to support and grow our radon and soil gas service lines in collaboration with his peers across Pinchin. Meet Heather Swail, Certified Radon Specialist and Operations Manager in Indoor Environmental Quality at Pinchin! Heather Swail is a Certified Radon Measurement and Mitigation Professional with the Canadian National Radon Proficiency Program (C-NRPP) and a go-to expert for radon safety at Pinchin, where she leads impactful Indoor Environmental Quality (#IEQ) initiatives as Operations Manager in BC. With over a decade in radon measurement and mitigation under her belt, Heather has tackled hundreds of radon projects across healthcare, commercial, and industrial settings, helping make indoor spaces safer one test at a time! In her current role, Heather manages a wide range of services, from radon and mould testing to indoor air quality assessments and fire damage evaluations. She is currently leading BC's largest-ever radon project, measuring radon levels in more than 2,000 buildings. She’s also known for her engaging training sessions, sharing her expertise to empower both clients and employees to prioritize radon safety and environmental standards.
