Using the power of ADVENTURE as a metaphor (the essence of what Pinnacle Pursuits is all about), we helped a client – a leading health care charity in BC – on a transformative learning and growth experience to help launch – and EMBODY - their new mission and brand values with their whole 100-person staff team. It was a day of true connection and trust, of being BOLD and innovative, leading from a place of core INTEGRITY, and experiencing the true value of COMMUNITY. The energy and vibe that was created, the goosebumps, tears and laughter that were shared, and the sense of genuine care for each other, was phenomenal. Mixed with the current economic climate and possible stress in family/community dynamics, Covid’s impact on students post-pandemic, continues to be clear. We can’t stick to the ‘old’ ways of teaching. When co-designing curriculum for programs with admins and head teachers, we are seeing that many classes of secondary students we are working with these days - socially and cognitively and even physically - are clearly still 2-3 years ‘behind in maturity’ compared to pre-pandemic. Program design and experiences require a different approach; when set-up within a culture of clear expectations and psychological safety (including more intentional care, accountability, authenticity and vulnerability), the personal stories that are being shared in our Social-Emotional Learning workshops, are more powerful than ever. This results in deep personal bonding, profound levels of community building and trust – and when combined with challenging outdoor activities and high impact adventures, we are noticing how students are blossoming within themselves and surprising themselves in their abilities and potential! It’s been magnificent to see, and always a pleasure to work with schools and families who walk the talk and ‘get’ the long-term importance of this work. Wow - what an awesome 'Lessons in Life & Leadership' opportunity to get up for this morning - a session with #SerenaWilliams, the GOAT of Women's tennis and I think most sports in general! Her humble nature, the personal and relatable experiences she shared, and her overall ability to reflect and be 100% authentic, was so inspiring to many of us global entrepreneurs. There were so many gold nugget takeaways. Thank you to my amazing community at #EO and for hosting this amazing #PowerhouseSession

What an awesome leadership and teambuilding event we had this week with 140 Grade 11’s from #BrentwoodCollege on Vancouver Island. This event was a great way to finish a very full successful Fall season where we delivered over 32 days of adventure-learning programs in 6 weeks for both schools and corporate teams that were SAFE, FUN, and MEMORABLE!
