We are proud to announce that Pitt Meadows Plumbing has been awarded the Digital Supply Chain & Fabrication Award at Building Transformations 10th Innovation Spotlight Awards, held in Toronto on December 5th. This recognition highlights our collaboration with Novarc Technologies Inc., where we beta-tested their AI-driven welding software (NovEye) to address industry challenges like labour shortages and enhance efficiency in project delivery. It underscores the power of innovation and teamwork in shaping the future of mechanical construction. Special thanks to Debra Hadden from Novarc for accepting the award on our behalf and to Adelina Scott from PCL Construction for presenting it. A huge thank you to Building Transformations for this honour, and to our incredible team and partners for driving innovation forward. Is it just us, or did a few members of the PMP team shrink this #FabricationFriday? Jakob Graham from Revizto stopped by with a fun surprise: custom bobbleheads of our President Steve Robinson, Director of Industrialized Construction Sam Revel, Senior BIM Manager Matt Main, and Marketing Manager Sara Searle! These pint-sized replicas may be small, but they represent the big impact of teamwork and innovation on our projects. Special thanks to Revizto for the thoughtful and fun gift! #IndtrializedConstruction #TeamWork #Collaboration #FunFriday #Construction

Today, the PMP team is proud to be attending the highly anticipated VRCA - Vancouver Regional Construction Association Christmas Luncheon—an event that unites our local construction industry. We were excited to host several tables of our own and honoured to be invited by valued partners to join theirs. Events like this provide the perfect opportunity to connect, strengthen relationships, and reflect on the collaborations that drive our industry forward. Thank you to the VRCA for organizing this fantastic event year after year and for fostering the connections that build our communities. #VRCAChristmasLunch #BuildingConnections #ConstructionCommunity

For five years, Pitt Meadows Plumbing has been proud to grow, move, and make a difference through Movember. This year, we raised $10,345 and covered nearly 900 km as a team, bringing our total to $92,000 for men’s health. Movember is about more than mustaches—it’s about taking action, breaking stigmas, and supporting the men in our lives. Thank you to everyone who contributed and joined us in making an impact. Special thanks to Take Off Photography for donating their time to produce this video of our recent event at The Patch Brewery, where our team came together to support this important cause. #Movember2024 #TeamBuilding #LifeatPMP #Construction

On this #FabricationFriday, we're excited to share that our President, Steve Robinson, and Director of Industrialized Construction, Sam Revel, presented yesterday at the Mechanical Contractors Association of Canada Conference in Austin. They joined Adam Carpenter CPA, CMA, President of R.F. Contracting, and Trent Leinenbach, PLMB, Director of Customer Success at Stratus, for a panel discussion titled "Digitization and Industrialized Construction: Transforming Productivity for Mechanical Contractors." The conversation focused on how Industrialized Construction—through 3D modeling, automation, robotics, and off-site manufacturing—is transforming project delivery. Steve and Sam shared how PMP is leading the way in integrating these technologies, constantly refining workflows, managing costs, and striving to deliver outstanding project results. For those who attended, what stood out to you most? Do you have questions about the future of Industrialized Construction or how these methods are shaping our industry? Special thanks to Kimberly Corlett from Procore Technologies for the photos! We also encourage everyone to explore Susie's Shed, a thoughtful book by Ken Lancastle, Chief Operating Officer at the MCAC. As Movember comes to a close, we want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible efforts of our PMP team. Over the past month, our team has come together in a big way to raise awareness and funds for men’s health. On Saturday, we hit the dykes in Pitt Meadows for a walk and bike ride, followed by pizza and awards at The Patch Brewery (a huge thank-you to them for hosting!). It was the perfect way to celebrate everything our team has accomplished this month: Best Mustache Award – Matt Bedford Biggest Fundraiser Award – Brett Cawker Most Mo-spirational Team Member – Spencer Trueman Most Active Mo-Sister Award – Breanna Halliday Rookie with a Stache Award – Aiden Carmichael Yesterday, we also hosted a virtual session with Dr. Don McCreary, who shared valuable insights on stress and burnout. It was a helpful conversation, and we’re grateful to everyone who joined. For those who couldn’t make it, the recording will be available soon so you can catch up. Special thanks to Evan Connor for his assistance in organizing the event and connecting us with Don. Movember isn’t just about growing mustaches—it’s about showing up for one another, advocating for health, and starting important conversations. This initiative reminds us why caring for each other is one of our core values. PMP is matching all donations, so there’s still time to help us hit our fundraising goals! Donate here: https://lnkd.in/gCfR4xdH Thank you to everyone who supported, participated, or donated this year. You’ve made a difference. Lastly, special thanks to Take Off Photography who donated their time to take amazing footage of the event on Saturday. #Movember #TeamBuilding #MentalHealth #Construction

This week, Sara Searle and Breanna Halliday had the privilege of representing Pitt Meadows Plumbing at Procore Technologies Groundbreak 2024 in Denver, an event that brought together construction innovators, industry leaders, and visionaries. The sound bites we gathered during the sessions have inspired us to think differently about how we lead, collaborate, and grow. Here are some of the standout messages we’re bringing back to our team: - Construction is community. - Empower your people—it’s all about them. - People need to see themselves in this industry. - Jobs don’t have a gender. - Mentorship is crucial to shaping the future. - Let’s not be late adopters. - Always lead with humility. We were especially motivated by the challenge: “How can you do things differently today to improve the future?” At Pitt Meadows Plumbing, these takeaways reaffirm our commitment to being a leader in redefining the construction industry. From mentorship to purpose-driven leadership, Groundbreak reminded us that real change starts with connection and collaboration. We can’t wait to bring these lessons home to strengthen our culture, inspire our people, and continue building the future. #GBK2024 #Construction #Conference

On November 1st, 1994, Gord Bloxom began a 30-year journey with PMP, participating in the training of countless apprentices and colleagues, including Kevin Ott, now our Director of Construction & Workforce Planning, and Construction Manager, Jonathan Hooiveld. This milestone is especially meaningful during Apprentice Appreciation Month, a time to recognize the power of mentorship in our industry. Last year, Gord’s son Jake also joined the PMP team, now working on the same site where Gord led as Mechanical Superintendent. Seeing the next generation take up the tools reflects what we believe in as a company. A team is only as strong as its people—and we’re grateful for Gord and all he’s brought to ours. "I have many memories of working with Gord; we had fun times working on decks and doing cast when I was an apprentice. We always made the people around us laugh. Congrats on 30 years, Gord!" – Jonathan Hooiveld Special thanks to Kelsey Galer for the photos! #ApprenticeAppreciation #Milestone #Construction #30Years #NextGeneration #LifeatPMP #Family #SkilledTrades

It's #FabricationFriday, and this week we are featuring the chiller racks taking shape here at Shop XL. These 12 units will be positioned on pre-inserted landing platforms, allowing roofing work to wrap up before piping begins. Once assembled, they will then be insulated and pressure-tested, and ready for on-site installation. We’re also proud to share some exciting news: Pitt Meadows Plumbing is a finalist for the Building Transformations Digital Supply Chain & Fabrication Award, highlighting our AI beta testing with Novarc Technologies Inc.’s SWR. This recognition reinforces our commitment to redefine mechanical construction through #IndustrializedConstruction methods. #FabFriday #Construction #Innovation
