Did you know that the term “open educational resources,” coined at a UNESCO forum in 2002, will turn just 22 this July? 2️⃣2️⃣ It’s a young field, but look how far we’ve come! Thanks in large part to the generosity of the OER community, the evolution has been swift, exciting, and full of creativity. Part of growing up is reflecting, and taking to heart the lessons we've learned along the way. As part of this, Pressbooks partnered with several institutions to create the Open Education Maturity Model—a simple planning tool to help frame conversations and strategy development for open education initiatives.
