A moment where: - Shy students find their voice - Groundbreaking ideas take flight - Unexpected connections spark future collaborations At ProjectBoard, we believe every student's project deserves a stage that extends far beyond a single gymnasium. A virtual showcase isn't about replacing the incredible energy of in-person events – it's about amplifying their impact. Imagine a local water quality project catching the eye of a university researcher. Picture grandparents watching their grandchild's presentation from across the country. These are the moments that transform student projects from one-day displays to lasting inspirations. 👉 Want to dive deeper into how we're revolutionizing science fairs? 🚀 Behind the Scenes: ProjectBoard at the 2024 SFDI Conference 🔬 What happens when passionate science fair leaders from across the US come together? Magic. Pure scientific magic. This September, we attended the Science Fair Directors Institute (SFDI) in Kansas City, and our minds were blown by the incredible dedication of the directors who make science fairs possible. Our big takeaways? - The stigma of science fairs needs to go! - Accessible, supportive communities are key - Every student's STEM journey matters - Celebrating curiosity is our shared mission We just published a deep dive into our SFDI experience – sharing insights, challenges, and the incredible spirit of innovation we witnessed. 👉 Read the full blog post: https://lnkd.in/gSWp5T4W Key highlights include: - The incredible volunteer work behind science fairs - Protecting student intellectual property - Why we believe "No STEM Mind Left Behind" Want a sneak peek? It was an honor being a sponsor and participant at the #SFDI Inaugural conference!
President of STEM Research Consulting & Advancing STEM Research Teaching Prog. (ASRT) and the Regeneron-Westchester Science and Engineering Fair (WESEF) and the Science Fair Directors Institute - Dir. of Communications
The first, National Science Fair Directors Institute (#SFDI) presented by Regeneron was a huge success as it brought together over 50 Science Fair Directors from around the country for a 4 day conference. When an idea becomes a reality with the intent of making a difference in the lives of so, so many students, it is an influential, beautiful, magical thing !!!!!! Thanks to fellow Fair Directors who are both close friends and visionaries - Emily Jo Meyer, Jordan Krell, Jody Oostema, Alexa Groff, for working together to make this dream a reality! Thanks as well to the numerous, dedicated, caring Science Fair Directors that traveled from all over the USA to come to Union Station in Kansas City for SFDI. A very special thanks to our wonderful sponsors and charitable donors without whom the SFDI would have never happened !!! www.SciFairDirectors.com #SFDI, Regeneron BROADCOM FOUNDATION Society for Science DataClassroom Science Coach Bosch GoShiggyGo Photgoraphy ProjectBoard #UnionStationKC #UnionStationScienceCity #zfairs #omnicopromotions, Terrence Turner
