After many successful years of providing free trees to Londoners through our Neighbourhood Tree Depot program, ReForest London will be concluding this initiative after the Fall 2024 season. This decision comes with a heavy heart as the funding that supported the program has ended, making it unsustainable in its current form. We are deeply grateful to the London community and our generous funders for their unwavering support throughout the years. Your participation has been crucial in helping us green our city, and we can't thank you enough for making this program a success. However, this is not the end of our commitment to providing Londoners with free trees. With the development of our new Community Tree Nursery, we will be earmarking a percentage of trees each season for community giveaways, ensuring that the spirit of the Neighbourhood Tree Depot program lives on. Although the new iteration won’t be ready for at least two years, we are excited about what the future holds. We’re also inviting local businesses to join us in this journey. Sponsorship opportunities for tree giveaways are still available, and we’d love to explore partnerships with those interested in supporting our mission starting in 2025. A big thank you to Convertus Group for their continued support in sponsoring tree depots—your partnership sets a wonderful example. As we close this chapter, we look forward to new beginnings and continuing to work together to create a greener, healthier London. To read the full press release, please visit: reforestlondon.ca/news

Well, friends...our trusty dishwasher has washed its final load after nearly 10 years of dedicated service to all of us here at the Westminster Ponds Centre. We are now in the market for a new, or gently used, dishwasher so we're putting out the call! If anyone out there has a new or gently used dishwasher they'd be willing to donate to ReForest London or sell to us for a charity-friendly price, we would be incredibly grateful. Please email rodger@reforestlondon.ca if you can help! Thank you! #reforestlondon #donate #ldnont #calltoaction
