🚨 We're Hiring: Engineering Project Manager – Calgary Office 🚨 Rising Edge is looking for an Engineering Project Manager to join our dynamic team in Calgary. With this role, the Engineering Project Manager will play a critical role in overseeing and managing the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects within specified timelines and budgets. Involving collaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineering, project delivery, clients, and vendors, this role will ensure efficient and effective project completion. If you have a passion for engineering, project management, and are looking at starting your career fresh out of your undergraduate studies, then this opportunity is made for you. Requiring a strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques, ability to work under pressure, and strong problem-solving skills will make you stand out to other candidates. Some of the key responsibilities include (but are not limited to): ☑ Maintain project reporting both to client and internal stakeholders. Lead project meetings including kick-offs, updates, change orders, recovery plans and lessons learned. ☑ Initiate project set up once awarded and estimate handoff is complete. Ensure project team, budget, documentation, etc. is in place to allow for effective project kick-off. ☑ Manage project expenditures and ensure adherence to the approved budget. Align man-hour projections on assigned projects. ☑ Coordinate project close out and conduct project reviews to identify areas for improvements; make recommendations based on findings. 🏒 North vs. South: A Battle for the Ages! 🏒 At Rising Edge, traditions like our annual hockey tournament are a highlight of the holiday season. ⭐ Project Spotlight: Gold Mine in Atlantic Canada! ⭐ Rising Edge is actively completing the electrical and instrumentation installation at a Gold Mine. This mine site is set to become the largest gold mine in Atlantic Canada.   The Rising Edge team currently has the second largest work force on site and will peak at 50 craft at any time. Our team has established a great working relationship with the client team. The scope is set to continue into the new year and come to its expected conclusion in Q2, 2025.   The scope currently sits at 19.5% complete on base scope and 22.5% complete overall (change orders included). Most of this scope to date has primarily been cable tray installation along with the beginning stages of medium to low voltage cable pull and terminations. Major milestones completed to date are the completion of the Assay Lab, which is critical to first pour. Energization of two critical E-houses are on track shortly into the new year.   The Rising Edge team has set a very high standard for safety on site. As a team, we have accumulated over 33,000 working hours without a lost time injury. Kudos to the crews and the Atlantic project team for continuing to lead with excellence. Our mixed double team of Hancock and Neary have gotten photos taken with their new gear for this curling season. Just this year, they participated in Curling Canada’s U-25 NextGen program – they were one of twenty teams selected from across Canada. After roughly 73 duos from across the country competed in 2 separate tournaments, the final 8 left standing will move on to the national tournament this March in Summerside, PEI - and our duo claimed the 3rd spot.
