December 6 is an important day for women across Canada. It is a day where Canadians reflect on the discrimination, harassment, and violence that women still face today. 14 young women lost their lives on this date 35 years ago because they were studying to become engineers—a field of work dominated by men. It is also a day where Canadians recommit to challenging this discrimination. This year at Make It Safe Online, we invited four women working within occupational health and safety to share their journeys and experiences in a panel discussion on equity in workplace safety controls. Thank you to Maureen Shaw, Tanya Tighe, Briana Hollick, and Lana Schultze, MAEd HSE for being part of this year's panel and an inspiration to the next generation of women health and safety professionals.
