A national registered charity supporting end-of-life journeys for Canada’s most vulnerable citizens.
About us
Canada’s health care system is in crisis. Our population is growing and getting older. In every province and neighbourhood, health services are stretched thin by the increasing need. For people who are socially isolated, marginalized or experiencing homelessness, and for Indigenous Peoples and frail older adults, the gaps in care can be insurmountable. Saint Elizabeth Foundation leverages the resources of SE Health and more than a century of service to our communities to act as a catalyst for change. We’re working together with donors, sponsors, other organizations, and volunteers to provide leadership and lasting impacts on community infrastructure and end-of-life care for Canadians most in need.

This Feel Good Friday moment is brought to you by the SaintElizabethFoundation Holiday Hope & Happiness campaign. Members of our SE Health family graciously distributed toques to a church group for seniors in the GTA. Along with facilitating monthly activities, they helped bring holiday cheer with the gift of warm, cozy toques and companionship to members of the group. We love to see communities strengthened through touching acts like this and are grateful that we can be part of bringing a smile to someone's face with a simple gesture. #HopeAndHappiness #FeelGoodFriday #GiveBack #GiveWhereYouLive #SeasonOfGiving

‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through Journey Home, Not a creature was stirring, though the nurses did still roam. Our residents were nestled all snug in their beds, While visions of volunteers bringing the Comfort Cart danced in their heads. The Director of Care made her rounds and said “Goodnight”, Her spirit was festive, her smile warm and bright. When under the holiday tree, there arose a small commotion, Some excitement arose, everyone could feel the emotion. There were 17 boxes, each wrapped so nice and neatly, And the name of each resident was written so sweetly. A holiday gift was waiting for each person to open, Given graciously by donors, who gave without a word being spoken. And so we all exclaim to JourneyHomeHospice residents at each location, “Happy Holidays to all, from all of us at SaintElizabethFoundation.” If you wish to donate toward patient experiences, please visit: https://lnkd.in/dsVdNJNn

Hope and Happiness is alive and well in Windsor-Essex! For the second year, the Erie St. Clair service delivery centre's SaintElizabethFoundation Ambassadors, senior leadership & staff set up their Giving Fence on Sandwich Street. This creative interpretation of our annual holiday campaign allows those in need to grab a warm item as needed - a wonderful show of community kindness and support. And this year, we're so grateful to The Salvation Army Windsor Centre of Hope who were open to collaboration and allowed us to set up a second fence at their downtown location. What a true example of coming together to help those most in need! 🧤 🧦 💗 #HopeAndHappiness #SeasonOfGiving #GiveWhereYouLive #CommunityCollaboration #YQG
