About us
The International Secretariat for Water (ISW) and Solidarity Water Europe (SWE) bring together citizens and organizations that are committed and active in the cause of water. Their commitment is to ensure the application of the founding texts of the movement (the Montreal Charter and the Declaration of Strasbourg) to ensure access to drinking water and sanitation for all. The ISW is based in Montreal, Canada, and SEE is based in Strasbourg, France. Building on the evolution of knowledge, the development of innovative partnerships and creativity, ISW-SWE develops initiatives that guarantee the right to water and thus universal access to water and sanitation, while preserving the resource. The ISW-SWE and its partners create bridges and dialogues between all stakeholders (civil society, academic sector, private sector and institutions). The ISW-SWE acts according to three axes of action: • Field; • Advocacy and awareness raising; • Youth. The actions of the ISW-SWE movement take place more particularly in rural areas, in small communities and in peri-urban areas. They contribute to the implementation of integrated resource management, with watersheds as a reference framework. 🌍💧 Drops of the Future OSCE We’re thrilled to contribute to the "Drops of the Future" workshop on February 26-27, 2025, in Vienna! Organized by OSCE, Switzerland, and the Austrian Host Government, it will bring together experts, young professionals, and policymakers to exchange ideas and innovations in water governance. #BluePeace Representing the Secrétariat international de l'eau - International Secretariat for Water will be Sara Scardavilli, our Youth Sector Officer for Central Asia. Her expertise in youth mobilization and capacity-building, will be valuable to the discussions. She will be accompanied by Madgalena Zivanovic, president of the European Youth Parliament for Water - EYPW and ISW board member.
