A throwback to 2022 where we explored using LED wall technology with live DMX lighting to facilitate a fashion photoshoot. This research project aimed to discover if virtual production technology was viable for photographers to utilize. The research itself led to developments in workflows, what depth of field worked best and how far talent had to stand from the wall itself for optimal capture & to minimize moiré effects. #photography #fashion #technology #research #virtualproduction #ontario #model #studio #lighting #artist #Nikon

Over the past couple weeks, we've been demonstrating our facility and technologies to teach and inspire creatives in the Bachelor of Film and Television & Creative Industries Management programs. David and Mike taught students about the importance of AI technologies coming to creative sectors while James gave a hands on workshop on motion capture and virtual production. SIRT is here to showcase what the future holds in store for those still going through their educational journey and to prepare them for it. We appreciate the eagerness of all the students who participated and look forward to future visits! #research #workshop #sheridan #education #technology #developer #ai #handson #motioncapture #virtualproduction #photogrammatry

One of the aspects of SIRT that goes under the radar is our incredible software team. While not as flashy as animation or virtual production, the software team has worked on numerous projects throughout the years that are at the forefront of innovation. From a live conference VR experience hosted with over 400 participants simultaneously to programming brain wave applications, the team is versatile in their capabilities. Got a project needing software expertise? Contact us and lets start the conversation!
